About Jaymi Jai

Jaymi Jai is a wonderful woman and has become a good friend. She runs a business in which she intuitively supports and mentors leaders, visionaries, rebels, & healers who are ready to break free from external expectation and to face the fear that blocks them from living in flow with their genius.

When she came to Verdure Design Co. for help with her branding, she felt lost and misaligned. She had worked with a few different business coaches and service providers but didn’t feel like they were understanding her unique business.

When we started the partnership, we knew the most important thing was to make sure Jaymi felt seen, heard, and represented in her brand.

Project Needs

  • Brand Strategy
  • Logo Design
  • Brand Colors and Typography
  • Custom Illustrations
  • Website Design Assistance

The Direction

For the Jaymi Jai brand, we knew we wanted to capture an air of calm but also leadership. We needed to instill a sense of security in her potential clients when they encountered the brand, so we chose strong, natural colors.

We also knew we needed to invoke a sense of curiosity and wonder. Jaymi’s work focuses on rediscovering parts of the self, and to do that, her clients need to be curious. By incorporating natural elements and imagery, we create a sense of adventure. This helps encourage the client to get excited about exploring their own internal terrain.

Illustrations

Because Jaymi herself is a guide for her clients, the Jaymi Jai illustrations were chosen based on animal guides that had significance in Jaymi’s journey. Each illustration was built as two different versions. A simplified version (left) that just had the animal (wasp, deer, bear, snake, raven, rabbit); and a complex version (right) that included the animal with natural illustrated elements within an arched background.

These silhouetted illustrations can be used as social icons and on marketing collateral like business cards and swag.

Logos

For the logos, we wanted to incorporate this same silhouetted feel. So, we used the negative space in the A’s to create the silhouette of a hill/mountain/trail that’s illuminated by the moon. This helps further push that adventure/guide storyline in a way that is subtle and tasteful.

Jaymi was provided with both a horizontal and stacked version of the logo to leverage in different use cases.
